Why this exists
When a microphone stops working before a meeting or a mouse starts double-clicking, most people don’t know where to start. Search results are full of downloads, “PC cleaners” and fake virus warnings. FreeComTools takes the opposite approach: simple pages that test your computer or smartphone right in the browser and tell you, in plain language, what they found — plus everyday tools such as calculators, clocks and network checks.
How it works
Modern browsers expose safe, permission-based access to microphones, cameras, speakers, keyboards, mice and displays. Our tests use only those standard web APIs. All processing happens on your device — there is no server that receives audio, video or key presses.
What we promise
- No fake warnings. If something can’t be tested in a browser, we say so.
- No downloads or “optimisers”, ever.
- No accounts. We don’t know who you are.
- Ads stay away from test buttons so you never click one by accident.
How the site is funded
FreeComTools is free because it shows advertising (Google AdSense). On Korean pages we may also show clearly labelled Coupang Partners links, which earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you.
